Helix QAC supports the standalone installation of any or all of the following: the Helix QAC for C and Helix QAC for C++ parser components, the RCMA (Cross-Module Analysis) component, and the associated compliance modules. Subject to licensing, this allows you to upgrade a component or compliance module independently and keep your existing version of Helix QAC installed.
In order for a particular module to be fully functional, it needs to be used in conjunction with its associated parser component, for example M2CM, M3CM, CWECCM or CERTCCM with Helix QAC for C, and ASCM, MCPP, MCPPX, CERTCPPCM, JCM or HICPPCM with Helix QAC for C++.
For ease of reference, the word "component" will hereafter refer to any of the above mentioned components or compliance modules.
If you are installing a new version of Helix QAC, then the components for which you are licensed will be pre-packaged with that version of Helix QAC, and you do not need to worry about the standalone installation of any of the components.
